Excessive heat warnings. Sigh.
99 degrees ambient temperature on Friday and the heat index will have the feels like temperature around 110.
I have hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating - brought on by my anxiety) anyway, so weather like this makes it worse. I literally just avoid going outdoors at all costs when it’s like this. The humidity here makes it literally hard to breathe.
Come on, autumn. I’m ready to be able to enjoy time outdoors again.

Works for me. I do better in cold weather.

As a Scottish-Canadian who has given up on God and started praying to sunblock instead, I feel you. It’s been in the 30s the last few days here (Celsius) and our A/C only really covers the living room. So we moved the mattress out onto the floor and have been sleeping here since Friday.

I like summer. I like winter. Fall is acceptable. I don’t like spring.
And across all 4, I HATE humidity.

What do you have against spring?

About the same here in AL. It ’ s been a pretty mild summer until now, so I ’ m grateful for that. I also sweat more than anyone I know, so just going outside to do anything is out of the question. Taking the kids to the pool almost daily, it ’ s almost all you can do.
On the flipside, 40s and 50s all winter is awesome.
EDIT: I see you’re in Owensboro, so make sure you DO go outside on August 21st. You are at ground zero for the most EPIC solar eclipse of our lifetimes.

Not cold enough to skate, not warm enough to swim, largely too wet&muddy for hiking or biking, and no pretty colours on the trees to make up for it.
I’d love to be able to flick a switch and go from -10 to 30C overnight. Sadly that isn’t possible. And we need spring’s gradual transition anyway, really.
It’s a necessary evil. I can forgive it for making Maple Syrup possible—but that doesn’t mean I have to like it.

Haha, I was a hockey player in high school but I gave it up for powpow and booters! Some friends have started playing open hockey at a local rink, but I’ve yet to join them.

I’m not an athletic guy. I hate running. I don’t really like to walk anywhere if I don’t have to. Too boring. We’ve got a treadmill—nope. Even worse. I do like a hike though. More challenging and good scenery? OK then.
But skating I can do. And hockey provides the interest. I could stay on the rink all day.

I feel you. This doesn’t factor in typical St Louis summer humidity either. Why did I choose a career where AC isn’t common?

Yes, autumn would be very much appreciated. Car A/C, house A/C and office A/C are all working fine, so I’ll just stay indoors. It’s only in the mid 80s when I go to work, but that’s at 2:45am.

If I was retired and living on Maui I might find a way to tolerate the humidity, but since I’m still working and living in the Midwest I’ll just have to suck it up and deal with it...
